Laura has over a decade of experience in writing, composing and recording session strings for a variety of artists. These include James Skelly, Bill Ryder-Jones,Ian Prowse and We Cry Wolf. She has also worked on collaborations for tracks with Elvis Costello, Damien Dempsey and Steve Wickham (The Waterboys). She has also done live recording sessions for radio and TV, with the BBC Scottish Symphony Orchestra,Kaleidoscope Orchestra and Rianne Downey during TRNSMT festival in 2025.

I recorded this session live with Rianne Downey for BBC iPlayer and for broadcast on BBC 1, having only met her and her amazing band 20 minutes beforehand! I am comfortable in any setting and every performance or recording is treated with the utmost care, preparation and energy.

I have my own studio set up at home (full list of equipment available on request) and am as comfortable recording from home as I am travelling to the studio.
